Introduction to Programming and Algorithms (10 hours)
Just as equations are fundamental to mathematics and sentences are fundamental to literature, algorithms are fundamental to software development. Based on this principle, participants will enter an intensive programming program from the very first day.
.NET Architecture and Object-Oriented Programming (10 hours)
Object-oriented architecture is a software development approach and is not specific to Microsoft products. Since the same philosophy is used on platforms such as C++ and Java, the primary objective of this module is to teach the object-oriented methodology that also forms the foundation of Microsoft .NET.
The module covers both the fundamental tools of .NET and the core structures that make up the .NET architecture, including CLR, CLI, CTS and JIT.
Programming with MS SQL Server 2008 (15 hours)
This module aims to develop a strong database culture and provide an understanding of the power of SQL. Advanced querying techniques will also be covered, enabling participants to gain a clear understanding of the capabilities of relational databases.
Topics include database design, tables, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers, SQL, complex queries, and other related concepts.
Oracle 11g (15 hours)
This module aims to provide an understanding of Oracle, one of the major database technologies used in the database layer of large-scale enterprise applications.
Programming with ADO.NET (10 hours)
This module provides an in-depth understanding of connecting applications to databases. Participants will gain knowledge not only of the .NET–MS SQL combination but also of different database connectivity models.
OLE, ODBC and native connectivity models will also be covered.
Desktop Application Development with Visual Studio .NET 2010 (15 hours)
Desktop applications continue to be widely used in many areas, including hospital management systems, municipal applications, land registry and cadastral systems, and manufacturing applications. This module focuses on how such applications are designed and developed.
Participants will develop a desktop application based on a project selected by the participants.
Windows application reporting will also be covered. In addition to the training curriculum, participants will be expected to complete a project that they can include in their CVs as a practical portfolio project.
XML Web Services and Application Integration (5 hours)
Today, almost no application operates entirely in isolation. Applications frequently need to integrate with other applications and services located anywhere in the world.
Examples include enabling an application to send SMS messages or emails, querying public services using a Turkish national identification number, or adding credit-card payment capabilities to a commercial application.
This module provides a detailed understanding of how web services can be used for such integration scenarios.
Mobile Application Development (10 hours)
This module covers mobile application development in depth, reinforced through the development of a mobile project.
An Android project will also be developed as part of the module.
ASP.NET Web Application Development with Visual Studio .NET 2010 (40 hours)
This module covers key web development technologies and concepts including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery and SEO.
Particular emphasis will be placed on Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and techniques for improving search engine rankings.
Alongside the theoretical content, participants will develop an e-commerce application as a practical project.
WPF, WCF and Silverlight (20 hours)
This module covers the capabilities and application scenarios of WPF, WCF and Silverlight.
Participants will develop a reference project integrating Silverlight with web services and a database.
Project Management (5 hours)
This module provides an introduction to project management processes, taking into consideration the content and framework of the internationally recognized PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
